I Don’t Know What We’re Talking About

Welcome to Episode 19 of I Don’t Know What We’re Talking About! 🎙️
Our guest for this episode is Jamison Jones, actor, filmmaker, husband and father.
Here's how the show works: every guest sends me five possible topics, and I don't choose one until we hit record. No prep, no plan... just real conversation.
My chat with Jamison took us through the realities of building a career as an actor while also making space for family, relationships and life outside the industry. We talked about finding balance, the ups and downs of an acting career, and what it looks like to keep doing the work while staying grounded in the things that matter most.
And, of course, we talked A LOT about Criminal Minds: Evolution. Jamison appeared in two episodes of Season 19, and we got into his experience joining the Criminal Minds world, working on set, bringing his character to life and plenty of behind-the-scenes stories from filming the newest season.
It’s a conversation about acting, family, Criminal Minds, finding balance and building a creative life that still leaves room for everything else.

Our guest for this episode is M.C. Huff, actor, filmmaker, hospice volunteer, and the creator behind The Golden Trail Project.
Here's how the show works: every guest sends me five possible topics, and I don't choose one until we hit record. No prep, no plan... just real conversation.
My chat with M.C. took us from Hollywood sets to hospice care and everywhere in between. We talked about The Golden Trail Project, her work around hospice, death and dementia, and her journey turning her grandfather’s story into a narrative feature film, a dementia western inspired by his life.
And, of course, we had to talk Criminal Minds: Evolution. M.C. appeared in Season 19, Episode 1 as the younger version of Jeri Ryan’s character, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at filming the episode, bringing that character’s past to life, and the journey that led to her landing the job.
It’s a conversation about acting, storytelling, grief, memory, life, death and the stories we choose to carry forward.

Actor RJ Hatanaka joins me for this episode. You’ll know him as Tyler Green on Criminal Minds: Evolution.
If you’re new here, the premise is simple. Every guest sends me five possible topics and I don’t pick one until we start recording. No prep, no planning. Whatever happens next is the episode.
RJ’s topic led us down a path through some of his earliest jobs, starting with working as a ball boy, and the different careers and experiences he had before acting became his full-time world. We also talk about the moment he landed the role of Tyler Green on Criminal Minds: Evolution and what that journey looked like from his side.
It’s a really fun conversation about unexpected career paths, the long road to the industry, and a few classic podcast tangents along the way.
